Eclectic Connections

This sketch provoked a lot of interest from people who walked by me while I was sketching. In fact one guy asked for my business card. At the Chinese buffet, a server said it made her think of a Chinese Dragon. So, I think I will explore this way of working in some future works.

Dinosaurs Shaded

These dinosaur shapes were drawn using a stencil book much like the stencil book of bug shapes.

Bugs Shaded

These shapes were generated form a stencil book of bugs. I overlapped bug shapes multiple times and then shaded them. I played with negative and positive shapes as I did this. It took a very long time.

While dining at Fox and Hound I traced objects on the table into my sketchbook. I then gridded off the page and rendered this drawing.
